I have noticed that if you include a company name in the address book details you seem to automatically get another entry in your address book for that company. Is there any way of turning this off or do we have to leave that field clear if we don't want it to happen?

According to TID #10016000 ( ) there is no way to disable this feature.

I use the organization field quite often when adding an address book item. I find it quite useful. However, I too have found this "feature" annoying. I usually just delete the organization object from my address book. This doesn't affect the associated user object.

If you have a very large address book you can make it easy to find the organizations by clicking "View -> Filter for Organizations".

Sorry, I'm afraid that this wasn't the answer you were looking for.

thanks for this - didn't think of filtering - makes it a whole sight easier to delete them
