External USB Hard Drive not Visable

Hi All,

I have a external USB box with a Maxtor 20 GIG ATA 100 IDE hard Drive in it. I've connected it to my XP and 2000 machines. On both machines in Control Panel/system/Hardware the USB: USB Atapi Storage Devive and the Drive: Maxtor are there but there is no drive letter for them in Windows Explorer. The drive is partitioned and formatted. Any Ideas would be helpful.
