External USB drive on XenServer

I am trying to mount a 4.o terabyte usb drive on a xenserver running version 5.6 SP2. I am getting an error that states the request could not be performed because of an I/O device error. That error is in the VM. I check the logs on the Xenserver and I am getting the error "Internal Error: another front end device is already connected to this domain" Has anyone experienced this?
