With 6.0 MICS, how do I doan external transfer to another phone number

There are a number of ways to do it, depending on the exact scenario that you have. That is, you can transfer from your set directly, from the voicemail if you have it, or use external forwarding from your set or from Capabilities in set programming.
I did a quick search using 'external transfer' as keywords and came up with 15 items in previous posts. Perhaps one of them are what you need. If not post back with a few more specifics, and someone will be able to give you step-by-step instructions for your needs.
Have a good one!

I'm assuming you want to transfer a live call to another number, ie., cell phone.

First, you have to build a destination code. I usually pick a single digit, such as 4 or 6. You can find the destination code menu under Services in system programming.

Once you do that, all the caller has to do, from their phone, is use Call Forward (Feature 4), press the destination/route code, then punch in the number they want the call to forward to. It should show that info in their display. If they have a multi-line phone (7316), they can cancel this when they return by pressing the cancel short cut key under the display.

Also, make sure, under Capabilites, ALLOW REDIRECT is set to Yes. Give that a try and see how it works.

If you are talking about a pure transfer, as opposed to a call foward scenario then do this:

-enable line redirection on the set the call will come in on.
-when call comes in, press transfer, then press an outside line, then dial the cell number, then press join, or just hang up.

I tried this and it say that transffer is denied
Does any one know who to do this, I've been looking all over and can't find it.
I want to recieve a call and then tranfer it to my sales guys in other location with out restriction. I got MICS 6.0
thanks for your help

I could not find a way to transfer, using soft menu button.
Nor did anything sugested so far on the forum helped. I run MICS 6 and it would be nice to do a transfer
to an external number. I am not sure if any one discussed link here, but it the only function that allowed me to transfer and hang up, conf/trans actually hung up the whole conference after I the initiator hangs up. If any one know how to make transfer to external number (blind transfer) work please post detailed instructions here. I have looked thru everything
that had external transfer and did not find anything, there are a lot of confused folks out there, including me :)

Just order the 3 way calling, call transfer feature from you local bell company and use the Link key to hookflash the line and then dial your external number of your sales gal.

I WILL FISH FOR FOOD

If you call the same number often, put it on a key this way:

F*1
press key
enter
F71
F78
dial string
F78
F71

While on a call press your speed dial button, then press RLS. The call will transfer.

This is the better way to do an external transfer because there is no fidelity loss.

To Announce Transfer to an outside location:

Press Transfer

Dial outside call (by pressing line or pool code then Dial string or External AutoDial)

Announce Transfer

Press Join

ususally your system designer would have set up your phones with 3 intercoms if you are utilizing line pools or by having 2 intercoms & the line appearances on a smaller or Non-DID setup. Otherwise you would not be able to use your phone until they completed their call.
