external transfer

Hi folks....Just new at this , so please bare with me...
I have a 3 x 8 DR5 phone system connecting to Norstar Flash 4 ch., with v1.7 software.. Hoping to install this shortly, but need to know if I can program this Voice Mail to do an external transfer ( probably to an on-call technician. ) I will have 2 lines into the 3 x 8 . Thanks in advance.....

When creating a Path choose Transfer and Ext (External) then enter the number
If you have lines that allow for link transfer then try #number#
The # acts as a LINK/FLASH

Thank You....So external transfer will work with this version of software then??

I forgot to add the part where if it says EXT then Yes, however looking deeper you need 1.9 software.
Or Callpilot 100
