HI ,

I have set the external time source on my 2003 server using the 'net time/setsntp' command to uk.pool.ntp.org , but it is still 7 minutes slow.

My question is : do I need to config the firewall allow ntp traffic inbound from the time server to the pdc?

Thanks,
W

No, you should not. Try:

w32tm /resync /rediscover /nowait

If that doesn't work, restart the Windows Time Service.

If it's still not working, please post pertinent errors from event logs.
