Does anyone know if the external page port on the BCM50 supports talkback page? I'm guessing not, but thought I'd check to see if anyone knows for sure.

Nope - that's a feature of the paging system itself. Typically don't see that much except in schools/education environments.

I realize that Talkback is a feature of the external paging equipment. My question is whether the external page port on the BCM50 allows the return speech (the talkback) to be heard by the paging telephone set.

I'm looking at placing talkback page equipment in one of my BCM sites, and I noticed a note in the troubleshooting chart for the Valcom unit I'm thinking of using that states "Most page ports are not talkback compatable."

The folks at this site are using the page port for one-way paging now, and I'd like to know if they can do talkback paging via the page port, or if I have to move the paging access to an unused analog trunk port.

You'd have to be on a trunk port or station port for talkback. Page port is one way only.
