Hi,

I have a problem in my system. I initiated external sync with a T1 line, and it started giving alarm
[tt]
SCEXI:SEML=1-2-00-00;
EXECUTED
ALLIP;
ALARM LIST
IDENTITY: ITLA
VERSION: CXP1010101/4/TSWSP07/SP07

DATE: 07MAY12 TIME: 15:32:35
CODE CLASS NOAF EXPLANATION
65 3 1 SYNCHRONIZATION FAULT IN LIM

LAST ALREI: 07MAY12, 15:30:08

END [/tt]

Please help me to remove this synchronization with the T1 (which is converted to E1 by a T1/E1 convertor box)

Thanks in advance

Monro

Hi,
There is not enough detail to guess what the problem is.
How many LIMs?
What is in ALLOP:CODE=65;?
/*ADD INFO 1 States the type of fault on the synchronization
ADD INFO 2 States the type of fault on the synchronization source
ADD INFO 3 States the synchronization source of the LIM
There could be a hardware fault in the LIM*/

SCICP; SCEXP;?
What is the source of the T1 link and what grade of clock does it have?
Is it possible that the system with the T1 is sync receiving from your system?
When you remove the sync(SCEXI:FEML=R;) do you get 274 alarms on the link?

I am not sure about what the grade of clock it has.

There was no such alarm before, after executing the command SCEXI, this alarm started poping up. Help me to remove this alarm

Hi Monro,
Looking at the ALLOP addition information, I think that the problem is and I quote from the Fault locating Instructons, "A device board is giving synchronization to the back plane without being expected."

The suggested actions are , "This device board can be broken and working incorrectly", "Do a resynchronization of the system"
The documentation actualy sucks for this problem, so do these comands with no parameters -
SCICI;
SCEXI;
Clear the alarm and see if it comes back.
If it comes back, you could try changing the TLU board however the fault location instructions at this point say "Consult an expert" :-(
Good luck,
Himdp

Hi,
sorry I forgot to include that you could try restarting the Trunk board (TLU76?) before replacing. Remember to clear the alarm after each process and see if it comes back.

Hi Himdp,

The alarm has gone!

SCEXI:SEM=R;
SCEXI;

RFBOI:BPOS=1-2-00-00;
ALREI;

There is no more alarms!

Thanks for your help :D
