Im working on a cross platform CD ROM using Flash. I have a Flash projector which accesses 3 swf each being about 16-20 meg each containing approx. 300 jpg's. It all works fine on PC but craps itself when viewed on a Mac. I think it is a memory problem as I tried it with smaller swf's (2 Meg) and it seemed to work OK. I would prefer not to split the files up in to smaller blocks.
Has anybody come across this problem before? Any ideas as to how to avoid it?

if ya have to split them up then you have to split them up..should probably not be that big anyways..and as far as the "works on a pc thing and not a mac"..seems weird to me because no matter how much we love pc's and hate macs..we all know that macs run twice the power of pc's in most cases..now does that mean that the mac you were on ran fast..i guess it didn't..it's not a mac problem, it's a processor and ram problem..regardless..break your movies up..only takes a few minutes and the addition of a couple linking buttons..

Hi Askari,

I have run into this problem a few times when doing cross-platform CDs in Flash also. My problem came from trying to load an into section into a target and music at the same time. I was able to fix it by changing it to load the intro and then, on the second frame of the intro, have it load the music. I dont know if this will help in your case, but it just seems all too familiar. Also, did you adjust the memory allowances in the finder on the mac? The defaults are pretty low.

Let me know if this helps.
