External Stylesheet Question? 1

Can I put comment tags in an external stylesheet
ie
<!-- this is for images only -->
.item1{border:0px;margin:0px;padding:0px}

I would like to do this to remind me when I go back to revise websites etc.

I've just tried it and the stylesheet still worked, it didn't cause any wierd errors.
