External Storage Options.

Anything is fine as long as it meets your support requirements. Even if you have a support contract with sun, it may be difficult to get support for problems with 3rd party storage.
I'm using a bunch of EonStor A16F (FC-SATA-RAID) connected to my Suns.
You'll have to check if you have the right controller for your storage box. Another question is if you need an (native solaris) agent to monitor and configure your storage in-band or if the box has a network port for management and monitoring.
