i'm trying to install a wheelock uta-1 electronic ringer to a meridian 5216 digital telephone and need to know the ringer voltage. the ringer can be set for: 24vdc/24vac/48vdc/ & 90vac. does anyone know what voltage i need to select? thank you

I think digital phones use 5V for a electronic ringer. I think 24, 45 and 90V are for Analog phone ringers.

the digital uses a speaker, 5 volts and the signal has to be translted by the station chip set.. you can't connect a butt set to a digital line and "here" a ringer like an analog.. i've had the same problem and ran a second station (analog) to the location and set the ringer to 90v.. that only works for 1 line per ringer.. i have extented the speaker leads to a small amp and sent that to overhead page for night treatment.. that works on all line and if the same set has a voice dig, you can page overhead as well
