Hi all,

Does anyone know of an external ringer that would work on a TOPAZ system, so that it it can connect to a digital phone IP2AP-12TD-TEL (WH), because currently where the phone is located, there is a loud of noise, due that it is a machine shop.
That is why we want to add a ringer so when the phone rings, that people can hear it better.

Thank you in advance

Many times in a case like this we would sacrifice a phone, open it up, tap off of the speaker leads and connect them to an external paging unit amplified for the ring.

Hi Belevedere,

Isn't there an external ringer that we can use to amplify it the sound, without sacrificing a phone, since there is none to spare.
The once I saw work with analogue, but I don't see for digital phones.
I was thinking maybe replace the digital phone with analogue phone with the ringer on it, but then they won't be able to transfer call.

That might be your only option. It is a discontinued product. There was a PGDU unit available which is used for door phones and external paging, but I'm not sure it would do what you want, or even sure you can get one. It connects to a spare digital station port.

Is there an analogue you can use and make it ring in conjunction with the digital?
