External Parallel CDROM sound Card 1

I have been given an external CDROM drive that connects via the printer port. It has a 48 speed CDROM and ATAPI cdrom+sound board in it.

Does anyone know of a driver for such a unit as I have nothing else to go with it.

To find the drivers for such a device you'd need to know the name/brand of the CDRom. As another user of the forum noted you could find more information about the product through the FCC ID using

http://www.fcc.gov/oet/fccid

or if you already have the name/brand you could go to

http://www.windrivers.com

and search for them there. Both sites offer a great variety of drivers for almost anything you could think of. Check them out, with any luck you will find what you are looking for. Good luck. [sig][/sig]

I have to learn to put more info in the requests.

It's an LG / IBM cdrom with atapi sound + cd board running via the lpt 1 port. It has no FC id on the circuitry and the only external drivers I can find don't support the sound side of things.
