I have been given an external CDROM drive that connects via the printer port. It has a 48 speed CDROM and ATAPI cdrom+sound board in it.

Does anyone know of a driver for such a unit as I have nothing else to go with it.

Regards

To find the drivers for such a device you'd need to know the name/brand of the CDRom. As another user of the forum noted you could find more information about the product through the FCC ID using or if you already have the name/brand you could go to and search for them there. Both sites offer a great variety of drivers for almost anything you could think of. Check them out, with any luck you will find what you are looking for. Good luck. [sig][/sig]

Thanks ptswolfman,

I have to learn to put more info in the requests.

It's an LG / IBM cdrom with atapi sound + cd board running via the lpt 1 port. It has no FC id on the circuitry and the only external drivers I can find don't support the sound side of things.

Thanks for your help
