Hi Guys, Im currently setting up external paging on this little beastie..
Im using a Valcom 1094a amp.

Ive took pair 4+5 from the page port on the back of MFIM into the input on the amp, Pair 4+5 from the speaker to the output on the amp for my audio and pair 3+6 from the speaker to the -24v and GND on the amp for my power.

Im getting the page tone from the speakers but no audio.

Any suggestions

Cheers, Steve

I guess that you used this way of programming:
PGM168 BTN1 /External Control Contacts for contact 1.

What s/w level are you running ? See [Trans/pgm + 78]

To me the first amplifiler to rum paging should be connected at pair 1 (pin 3+4) from the RJ11 output named Page1.
Maybe your MFIM is another model.

So if I set PGM168 to use the first External caontact to be used for External Control device 1, then I can page out
through an aplifier connected to RJ11 - PAGE1/PAGE2 port using pin 2+3 (middle pins).

Using Port2:
I set PGM168 to use the second External caontact to be used for External Control device 2, then I can page out
through an aplifier connected to RJ11 - PAGE1/PAGE2 port using pin 1+4 ("outer" pins).

From the manual:
The MFIM provides two (2) programmable contacts, which can be used to control external devices. The MFIME provides four (4) external contacts. Each contact is assigned to activate under one of several conditions. As a Loud Bell Contact (LBC), the contact will activate when the assigned station or group receives an external call. Note for LBC, when the system is in the Night or Timed Ring mode, the contact will activate for incoming UNA calls and will ignore any station assignment. The contact may alternatively activate as a Door Lock Release contact, when External Page Zone 1 is accessed or External Page Zone 2 is accessed.
