I moved a Legend R6, and the exteral light no longer works. I added a card, so needed to do a board renumber, which resulted in some minor programming on the t/r board, and everything is square except for the light.

When I plugged it directly into an analog port with a new cord and dialed the extension it wouldn't light, so I assumed the light just didn't survive the move (it was so old it had the AT&T logo on it.) Ordered a new Wheelock replacement (15-A) and can't make it work either.

It was formerly a member of a calling group, so it flashed as long as a call was in queue.

I think I am missing something basic in the "how-to" of external lights - any suggestions would be appreciated.

That device, functioning as the ALERT for CALLS IN QUEUE, must be connected to an Multi-Function Module. (MFM)

So, somewhere, one of your MLX Sets has an MFM in it, and that's where the alert needs to be connected.

Why wouldn't it work as an analog port on a Partner system? Or, if it a t/r device, why can't I light it by plugging it into the Legend on a T/R port and dialing the extension directly (just out of curiousity.)
