Not sure how to solve this but here it goes:
Have a watchguard x700 as a default gateway and a 2003 AD server acting as the DNS/DHCP.
we have some servers setup that have an external IP address provided by out ISP that resolve internally. It hops from external to internal and back in.
Watchguard is in drop in mode.
I cant get a new website to act in the same manner. Meaning i setup a new site with a local address and assigned it the new external IP. same way the other sites are setup.
The other sites on the watchguard are just setup as hosts. i guess they are using arp? but i cant get this working. Only way it works is to NAT it but this only works externally. This isnt the same as our internal domain so i cant add to dns without adding it to each host machine in their host file.
Ive tried clearing arp and adding it to the machine with no luck.
Any ideas?
