I often end up having to recover old data off IDE drives for customers, Is there anyone that makes a PCI card that has the connectors for the IDE cable and power?

any help is appreciated.

I second Tony's suggestion re the Promise controller. Not sure where you're located, but here in the U.K. another one I've used is the IT8211 from Maplin Electronics.

Martin, I just leave the side of my case open! [bigsmile]

If you have an unused 5.25" drive bay, how about putting in a removable IDE drive tray. Just drop the drive into the tray, push it in and turn the key...
