is a good card, I've got one. They also have a power adapter in the drop-down below, but $2.99 is a bit steep but convenient. You will need to use a power connector off your PSU for the drive.
I second Tony's suggestion re the Promise controller. Not sure where you're located, but here in the U.K. another one I've used is the IT8211 from Maplin Electronics.
If you have an unused 5.25" drive bay, how about putting in a removable IDE drive tray. Just drop the drive into the tray, push it in and turn the key...
