Hi,

3300 CX Running MCD4.1

I have a couple of EHDUs on a customers PBX. They call from their Cellphones to the PBX, receive dial tone and make both internal and external calls with no problem.

When they are on a call, it suddenly places itself on HOLD, note they haven't pressed the 1 key. I figgured out the call was being placed on hold as the other party gets MOH. If the cell phone user presses 1 it retreives the call back.

This happens randomly, it may happen after seconds or minutes after the call has been started.

Any ideas why calls are being placed on hold??

Regards,

Daniel

Yes, the system is hearing something that it interprets as the command to place the call on hold ( I have had this happen on a couple of sites ). Is there an option in the system options to stop using the single digit codes and to use the FAC codes as defined in the 3300? If so try using that.

We had a similar problem years ago on the Nupoint voicemail in that certain callers ( usually females ) voices trigger the end of call command. We needed to play with the tone length in the phone line exceptions to fix. Can't do the same on the 3300.

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.

Loopy, thank you for that.

I just disabled the option you suggested:

"External Hot Desking - Single Digit Mid Call Features"

I will make test calls and comment.

Thanks a lot, Regards,

Daniel
