So here's what I have,
I bought an enclosure and a standard 80 gig harddrive. my enclosure has both usb and firewire connections. Right now I am in school, and I am frequently switching from mac to pc. I formatted my harddrive through fat32 so that the harddrive could be used on both platforms, through usb. Here's my problem, I want to use firewire on my mac, to save on file transfer time, but when I hook up the firewire to the mac nothing happens. But when hooked up through usb, my harddrive appears. I'm not an expreienced mac user, so this may be any easy solution but if anyone has any ideas let me know thanks. One thing I should mention is that it was formatted on pc.
