At work we had a 400GB external Harddrive. Well we were upgrading a Norton's Ghostcast server to 1.2 TB so we took that one out and replaced it with a 400. Now the problem is I cannot view that drive now it wants me to install software and I have no drivers for it. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

pcittech,

First insure that this drive is formatted. An unformatted drive will balk at apearing in most environs.

Second, is this attached via a LAN (NAS), on a server, or to a local machine?

If it is formatted, and attached to a server insure that the server sees it and set to be an accessible volume.

If it is a NAS there should be some software & config for it.

Might be mor to the point if you post back with details on what hardware you do have.
