ok windows 2003 r2.
the background lets for arguments sake say the internal dns for us is aqua.colour.co.uk - we have a dedicated link to another organisation - separate and firewall but point to point.
this organisation has a VMware view setup but if over interent its dual factor and if internal then single - in order for us to get it looking like its internal then it would be over the point to point.
is there a way in a 2003 I can pop a dns entry in for say host VMware.ext.org? if I just do it normally then it would end up VMware.ext.org.aqua.colour.co.uk . the other option I could just host a ext.org domain but then the issue is if there are more addresses that are used later on then they would need to be entered as it would hit that zone and stop.
conditional forwarding and using their dns is out as our address would be the natted addresses and therefore different.
