External Email sending to be blocked

I want to block some users from sending external mails through exchange rather than ISA level

Sort by date Sort by votes
Remove their SMTP address.
Put their AD account into the list in ESM to stop them having ability to send through the bridgehead.
Search this forum for any of the other occasions this has been covered.

But removing the SMTP address from AD wont cause them to not be able to even sent internal email?? wats ESM, please elaborate in details
