I have not been able to figure out how to get voicemail to pickup when someone calls our two huntgroups from an outside line, but I haven’t had any success.
Let me mention that I am not a phone expert, but I am tasked with managing Avaya in our small office. Also, our Voicemail Pro unit is broken at the moment and we have a service call to get it replaced... but it's been over a week and we need a stopgap solution in the meantime.
I’ve changed several options in IP Office, but I wonder if this is something that requires Voicemail Pro to be working? If someone calls the outside line (595-4443 for example), the phone never goes to voicemail; it just keeps ringing until someone picks up or the caller hangs up. The voicemail picks up just fine using the internal extension (3091), though.
I believe it is huntgroup-related because we have other external numbers (like 595-2300) that do not go to hunt group phones but do go to voicemail when dialed.
Thanks,
J. J.
