External calls not going to voicemail with Intuity AUDIX

Hello folks,

I have a problem with a Definity switch with an Intuity AUDIX LX 1.1 vm system. It is set up with mode code integration. Suddenly, with no configuration changes on either end, external calls are being dumped by Intuity AUDIX when the coverage path arrives at the vm system. For internal calls, it goes to the subscriber's greeting just fine. I've verified that the configuration is exactly what is prescribed by the configuration notice. I've restarted both the switch and did a proper shutdown and startup of the vm system. Nothing has helped.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is suddenly not working, and what I can do to restore harmonious balance between the two systems?
