On one client of mine, I have a BCM50 with an Auto Attendant that one of the options transfers to an external number. When some calls it and chooses that number, it calls it and occupies two lines for the duration of the call as expected. The problem is that after the call is ended, those two lines stay open indefinitely and I have disable the trunk card and then enable it again to free it up. I have been able to duplicate this to include any call from the outside then transferred to an outside number does this. It does not have to be transferred by the auto attendant.

Regular income calls from the outside that don't get transferred out release the line when the call ends. Regular calls from an internal phone to the outside also do not have an issue and the line is released as normal. This seems to be only calls with an outside caller then transferred to an outside number.

Thoughts??

Make sure your have answer and disconnect supervision supplied by your telephone company. Who are you using for phone service?

Are you using standard POTS lines? Do you have a choice of another carrier?
