Dear Team,

Kindly we need your help in IPO R9 and R10 installation, we are facing an issue as follows:
When external calls are forwarded to voicemail system (Embedded or even VM Pro) the call is dropped unless we deactivate the caller ID, do you have any idea why is this happening please?

Regards,

No,

Because we need a whole lot more of information.

What are you doing?
How does the call enters VM?
try explain what is happening, call routes etc included.

a new customer has 2 analog lines CO
I have created an auto attendant as usual and add a short code for the test, it's working fine
then I changed destinations in the incoming call route to the auto attendant (AA:CS)
but the lines disconnecting when it gets call
when i change the trunk type to loop start, it's working
but with loop start ICLID it's disconnect

Now I do not have that much of an experience with analog lines (since in The Netherlands we rarely use them).

But can it be it has something to do with the 8 second timer in the AA.

What happens if you route the externsl call to an extension, answer it and then transfer it to the AA?

Or make a route first to an extension for 10 seconds, and then overflow to the AA?

AA:xxxx would be embedded
VM:modulename would be VmPro

you said you tried both?

with VmPro restart of the server normally takes care of some weird stuff
embedded reboot of the system

but if the shortcode for testing works then it must be a really odd problem.

Try also a user that is forwarded to the test shortcode and see if that does the same thing.

Are you actually receiving the caller ID from the carrier..
Prove it first by assigning the call to a hunt group.
Check the phone when the call comes in and see if it works.

If there is no CLID the ipo will wait for about 2 to 3 seconds before doing anything with the call.

If your AA timer is less than 3 and you don't have a fallback destination then the call may be dropped.

But you need to prove you have CLID first.
