External calling party name & more

Hi,
I would like to develop application which shows some related with caller number information on phone display.
For example I would like to show client name, company and some other info which I retrieve from my another application.
Could you give me advise how I should config CCM, in order to notify my app for the external call and to give me the caller number? I read that should config some CTI things, but they are not clear to me. I am software developer and configurating CCM is not my strength.

You may need IPIVR or IPCCX in order to do this. I dont believe that the call manager can do it itslef.

You would need IPCC that calls go into and write a script that does a database dip into your app and retrieve the data.
