External Caller ID 1

I have an Octel 250 connected to an Meridian Option 81C switch. When external calls are left in voicemail, voicemail says "Outside Caller". I would like to have the caller id.
This also would be helpful with Visual Messenging that was installed to identify the different calls.
Any ideas?

Also not to sound stupid but when you receive a call from the outside I assume that you see the 10 digit number on the display of a 2616 phone?

And in menu 1.1 the

Sender ID Used for Telephone Answering Messages: 2 - Calling Party, if Known is set to 2 for calling party

Also go into menu 20 and then online CDR and go to 2 online CDR and go to event and put in 25 as the only entry and see if you are getting the 10 digit number on an inbound call. If you are not then the PBX is not sending it to the Octel.

On the Installation screen it shows:

Type of PBX is on: I - PBX DMID NT Meridian 1
Sender ID used for Telephone is set to "2" Calling Party if known.

I also went into Menu 20 and found it showing the 10 digits for Caller.

But when I have a voicemail message and I press the key for caller information it says Outside caller.

For Octel support I have to through another company. So I had someone come in. They determine that I don't have the special feature turned on. They are checking with Octel because this may cost extra to have this module.
So I'm waiting for them to call me back. It seems strange that the installation menu has it setup for Call party.
Do you happen to know what feature or module that needs to be turned on?

there is a feature bit 65 for ANI but you are at rel 3.x and that comes free with 3.x and up
