Hi,
I'm a new member of this forum and a new user of Cisco Callmanager 3.3(4). I've a problem with incoming calls. When I receive a new call my old PABX inserts a music on hold for the caller and secretary's telephone keeps on ringing. Can I reproduce it with callmanager and 7960 telephone?

Thanks.

Are you saying that the PBX plays music on hold instead of ring when the secretary's phone rings? If so you will have to use IPCC express that comes with CCM and create a script that answers the call and then attempts to ring an agent phone (secretray).

SOunds like a pain to not have a ring back played.

what about internal calls ?
Can they hear the music ?

If you have Unity integrated with your CCM, you can send all external calls to a callhandler (probably via a CTI Route point). Set the greeting to be blank, and set the transfer settings to do a supervised transfer to the operator extension. Setting up a supervised transfer will play hold music for the external caller while the phone is ringing at the operator's desk (you can also set the number of rings). A roundabout way to do it, that's for sure...

Again, this is assuming you have Unity integrated with CCM. I'm just thinking off the top of my head...
