My customer has a BCM50 with 3.0 SW. Because he has tenants in his space who need to pass their own DID numbers on outbound calls we worked with the carrier to change the circuit's configuration to allow the BCM to pass OLI.
Now the customer can't forward his phones externally because the BCM is passing the calling party's phone number for caller ID. When the calling party number hits the carrier router the router kills the call because the number is not one of the the carrier's DID numbers and does not pass their security test.
The carrier says they cannot change their configuration. Outbound calls through their router have to be in the DID range for the circuit. Does anyone know of a setting in the BCM that I can use to have the BCM always pass the OLI number and not the calling party's number? Other work arounds or suggestions? Thanks.
