External Call Forward

Is there a way to call forward calls externally on the Partner ACS RL.7/Partner Messaging RL.6 from either the set or from voicemail box? It is my understanding that it can only be done from a selector code, and voicemail box only provides message notification. Is this correct?

You can do a trunk to trunk trans but it will take 2 lines when using it.

The ACS R7 also has what is called Cell Phone Connect but you need to have a T1 on the ACS.

Program selecter code to ext, with remote call forward to speed dial bin #. Put forwarding station in DND.

I seem to recall that DND will overide the external forward, and cause calls to cover to voice mail instead.

For Voice mail use a selector code and set it for Centrex trans but you will need centrex on the line.

No, for voice mail you can send it to an extension that has been externally forwarded, but not in DND. From the auto attendant, you could use a selector code to get to the extension, but you could also dial the extension number directly. From a mailbox, you can *8 and dial the extension number that is forwarded, OR, if you have the personal operator option, you could set your personal operator as the extension that is forwarded.

The best senario might be to have the auto attendant answer first, give the user's extension number, their mailbox answers and says to leave a message, but if it is an emergency press 0 which will send them to the forwarded extension and the outside number.

The last one I set up for that was a VS 5 and I used option 7 for centrex and it worked like a charm but after reading the 1st post again I realized that it wasn't really a call forward for a station but a way to shoot a call to a number for a live call instead of going to the mailbox's, my mistake.
