External Call Forward 1

On a MICS R7.1 with a PRI, if a phone is setup for external call forward to a cell phone, does this tie up 2 PRI channels until the call is completed or does the call get passed from the incoming channel to the outgoing channel so that only one channel is in use? I'm hearing conflicting info about external call forward when a PRI is involved. Thanks.

It uses 2 Channels incoming and outgoing.

That's what I thought. I didn't see how the call could be passed to another channel. Thanks for responding.

check out 'two b-channel transfer'. perhaps the telco offers this?
