External call forward with IP Trunks

I have several BCM 400/50's networked with IP trunks. 2 PRI's come into a BCM 400 and all satellite BCM 50's, networked via IP trunks, use that PRI to dial out. I am having problems call forwarding off site from a remote BCM 50. For example, a call comes into the BCM 400's PRI to a station on a remote BCM 50 which is call forwarded externally back to the BCM 400 and out the PRI. So it is a tandem connection of sorts. Internal calls forward out the PRI just fine. External calls forwarded back out the PRI just stall and do nothing. Does anyone have some guidance for correcting this external call forward problem? "Allow Redirect" is enabled on the stations. Do I need to build route with a destination code for this to work?

You shouldn't need another route. Make sure using BCM Monitor that you're receiving the destination code from the remote system. If the destination code doesn't match your local destination code for the PRI route then you will need to change the remote code or add another local code that matches what is received from the remote. Also, if you don't have it yet you'll need a remote package to allow calls received from one system to connect to the other.

See if TAT (Trunk Anti-Tromboning) is turned on. If so, verify that the PRI trunks are using Remote Access Packages that allow access to themselves (PRI-A, PRI-B, or BlocA/BlocB).

What may be happening is the TAT will free up the VoIP trunk and send the call directly to the trunk (trunk to trunk access) and the Remote Access Packages may be blocking.

Have you tried having the call be forwarded from the users mailbox rather than using forward all calls?
