Hi Everyone,

I have installed several CICS with Loop Start Cards and version 6 and 4.1 for software. There is an addendum in the 4.1 literature, and it is in v6.0's literature that call forward is avaliable by using Feature+4 then entering your route number. I have tried 9 to get an external line, 1 to try and reach pool A, entered Route 001 as an external number to forward it to, and when I enter 1 or 9; I get "Invalid Number". When I enter Feature+4, and then 001 for the route, it just forwards it to the Direct dial "0" at DN 221. Line redirect IS enabled on all the DN's, and I have tried everything else!

Any Thoughts?; I'm getting desperate!

Ok, ok. I'm an idiot... I figured out how to use the routes and make it work; BUT! If I have an incomming call, how come I can't transfer said call to the extention that is forwarded to the outside world????? It says "Transfer Denied" then asks me to try another extention...

Any Takers? This is a very important one for MANY, MANY people who don't have Flash's or CallPilot's....

Thanks!!!

I am running 4.1 software here and am able to do that but the transfers must be blind that is have the receptionist dial the ext and release the call.

does your DN allow call redirect? in terminals and sets->capabilities-> allow redirect--?

Hey Jerry,

I have all the DN's set to be able to redirect both ring and line/set redirect. The Destination code is 300, and the Route is a local number 282-xxx8, and I can dial from an intercom, 300, and it will ring at the other number. HOWEVER, if the client recives an external call, hits the Tranfer soft key or directly dials FEATURE + 70, then enters 300, it says "transfer denied", then asks me to try another extention....this is very frustrating!!!

Thanks,

does it do the same thing when you try transfering to a simpler destination code such as "9" just hit transfer then the dest code (9) then the rest of the number.

it is possible that you have a conflict with an existing extension number since with a modular defaulted has ext 300 as the dn for port 516.

I think by your explanation, you are actually trying to transfer to a destination code, not an extension. You probably have the 282-xxx8 number progammed at the 'Dial Out:' prompt - this is why it is not working.

First create a destination code that will grab a line pool only. (ex. 8)
Then go to an extension and dial - Feature 4-8-282xxx8 HOLD

Also make sure you have disconnect supervision turned on for the lines. LINES -TRK/LINE DATA - TRUNK MODE - make sure it is set to SUPER.

Hey Guys, Super Ideas, and I will try them tommorow AM, and write Back!!!!!

Thanks!

P.S.Jerry, I should have mentioned that I am doing most of the testing on the CICS systems, and I tried a bunch of no's other than 300 (72,83,54, 100, etc). I'll keep you posted
