Ok I'm seeing this more and more with some carriers does anyone know of a fix?

Unable to Externally Call Forward via a PRI because carrier sees the originating number of the call and not your number. Therefore they reject the call as not comming from you. Now in the past I've had this issue but I was able to tell the carrier to allow any number to go though. But now I'm being told (new carrier) that they are unable to allow just any number that I need to strip the number and insert mine. Does anyone here know of a way to do this. BCM 400 rls 4.0. I've had the same issue on MICS's also.

No fix and there never will be. The telco provider will need to allow anything. Easiest way is to tell them to treat all calls as it's the customers main number.

Is there a way that you can insert a number that will withold your CLID from being sent out?. In the UK, we can insert 141 to stop the calling Line ID.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Thanks DBrewsky, I was afraid of that.

Firebird, there is a code here also we can use on a per call basis. The problem is when forwarding from a phone you can not insert any codes ahead of the number.

The call must be answered in order to change the CLID that is pushed out to the new carrier. One way is to have the incoming call go to a voice mailbox then have the caller press 7. Another is to use AA with a CCR/Transfer path. The phone user can have their own ringing service button that sends their DID to the VM DN. Unfortunately you will hear the standard "One moment please" when the caller is transferred out.

Just to add on to this a bit.. I did put in a change request with NorVaya to be able to add an option that will use the configured PublicOLI when the external forward feature is used. We'll see if that actually happens.

Thanks for the info, let's hope they do something about it. Because it seems to be becomming a much bigger issue than it was a couple of years ago.
