I've read the how to specs several times but i must be leaving something out?
I am trying to call forward a Norstar ext to a cell phone. MICS 6.1
I followed the tech tips, went in to routes selected route 001 and made sure it said pool a, according to the sheets there's nothing more to do in routes? It says leave dial-out blank
(which i dont really understand, it seems there should be something there)but anyways, when I get to dest codes and add rte 001 to my dest code of 8...... error says route undefined. I went over this several times and can not figure it out.
Any help??

Thank u

Steps to follow:

Make sure lines are programmed to a pool. ie pool a.

Build a route 001 to use pool a.

Dial out should be blank is correct.

Add a dest code ie 8.

Program extension to allow redirect Y.

I too have came across the route undefined message a few times in the past, honestly I can't remember what exactly I did to resolve it? I can only say that after changing the route around a little bit it all came together. Good Luck

The message "Route undefined" means that the route isn't initialized. It happens when you keep the default settings, i.e. you leave the Dial Out setting blank and the Use Pool setting to Pool A.

All you have to do is change a setting (put in something to dial out, change the pool or both -- you can be creative). You will then be able to enter the initialized route when programming the destination code. Finally, you will need to revert the route to the actual settings that you want: no dial out and Pool A.

Once a route is used by a destination code, it remains initialized, even if you revert the settings.

Yes my lines are in pool A. Thank u. I just cant see what i left out. This is big for me too, because I just got 3 other request to do the same thing.
Looks like i will try the creative way, thank u multimedium :)
Will let u know.
