External Call Divert ETSI

3300 MCD 4.1
System has 4 x ISDN2e lines.

On night service the system currently call forwards incoming calls to mobiles. The CLI displayed on the mobile is the 3300's main number as it is making the outgoing call. What we are trying to achieve is the incoming calling numbers CLI presented on the Mobiles, to do this the public exchange will have to be diverted.
I have been told about a feature called ETSI call divert for Isdn2, does the Mitel support ETSI call forward and if so how do you set it up.

Any ideas please.

Don't think the feature is supported. Are you just trying to seeing the calling CLI on the mobile phones? If so how are you forwarding the calls. Thought there was a COS option to present the calling number on transfers

Some line service providers will not allow a number to be sent out from a system unless it matches the billing numbers, this stops toll fraud, or gives the carrier a billing referance.

Two B Channel Transfer or TBCT for short, is an emerging telephony technology, where a telephone conversation on an incoming and outgoing line on a PBX can be passed "up the chain" to the telephone company, freeing up two lines on the PBX. TBCT permits more efficient routing and use of available telephone lines, because callers can "pair" together, without loading the PBX with the call for its entire duration. This makes telephone call routing much more scalable.

I suspect if the diversion happens at the exchange, the line provider may trust the caller ID and pass it through (as well as saving you 2 x B channels)


I note you mention ETSI which suggest Europe, and the above says NI-2 which might suggest non European

I believe BT (in the UK) might support something like this....
