is it possible to install a bell on my extension for when I am away from my desk? I would like other people to be able to answer it from there extension. How would I go about installing and programming?

Thanks

You could get a ringer (algo, dees, etc.) and install it on the aux. ringer port on your system. Install the actual ringer somewhere central so others can hear it. In capabilities make "aux. ringer: Y" and have people answer your calls using group pickup F75. You need to make sure all others and in the same pickup group.

Or if the aux ringer port is already in use, you could tap the speaker feed inside the phone to the input of a 24v horn. In doing so, keep in mind that if you use handsfree, that conversation will also broadcast over the speaker.

rikrodgers:
if you are talking near the phone even in a hung up mode the handset mike will pick up the room conversation and re-broadcast it over the headset connected speaker (been there done that)

If the AUX Ringer port on the KSU is allready in use then you could use an Algo ringer with the set too.

Wire up the Algo Ringer to the headset jack of the phone but you must keep the ringer within about 15', if you need it longer then you can add a self amplified horn to the terminals on the Algo ringer.
