Hi,
Please bare with me as I am administrator of another appliaction which needs linking to sharepoint documents.
We have a situation where documents will be stored/shared in sharepoint. I have an application which needs to link to these documents. However, the location of the documents within sharepoint will change. E.g. Project documents will move through a series of folders depending on its life cycle(not version controls). I need to be able to link to the document where ever it is in sharepoint and maybe the latest version. I am not sure what the correct term is for this ? An alias, a Constant? So I need to create link which is permanent in other application irrespective of the location of the document in sharepoint.
We are currently using sharepoint services 3.0 , is this possible? If so, would someone be kind enough to point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance.
