EXTERNAL ACCESS TO RESTRICTED DATA

How could I allow my customers/vendors to view my database, in order for them to establish order status in the case of customers, and stock levels / planned future orders in the case of vendors. This access would have to be secured by password etc.

Are you using ASP / PHP? Are you using a store bought shopping cart or did someone build it for you?

The first question is what data store is your data in. SQL server, MYSql, Access, ?????

Second question is what user interface is in place now. Desktop application, web application, and what flavor, WinForms, ASP/ADO, PHP, ????
