I just completed an install of IP Office R10.2 and have noticed a problem with my conference bridge. In the past I have configured my bridge based on Kyle L Holladay's design which has worked great in the past. This design has moderator dial into conference bridge, enter the moderator menu, enter his bridge number (his extension), then his passcode. The problem I am having is that now if a moderator tries to call in and enter as a moderator, it does not recognize him after entering pass code. It puts him on hold. It works fine if the moderator dial internally to the bridge. The same design works on older builds. I am guessing that when the IPO attempts to transfer the moderator to the meet me conference short code it is passing the caller id which is not recognized as a valid bridge therefore not allowing the moderator in. Has any one come up with a work around for this? Thanks in advance.

It's the transfer action for the Moderator
On the Specific tab, include the Moderator's extensions in the "Source of transfer" box

In Kyle's call flow, the Moderator dial **, is prompted for the bridge number, and that is stored in $CP0. After checking the PIN, the transfer action has $CP0 in that box to identify who is transferring into the bridge, thus opening it up

It's because on newer versions, newer than was written for that setup, if you use your extension as a bridge number, it magically becomes a moderated bridged. Users stay on hold until that extension enters the conference. Change the shortcode to something else. Make the Bridge ID some other number than the users actual extension. You can still use their extension as the bridge ID, but make the code tel # something like 555N, and the bridge ID becomes 555 and the extension and won't be moderated.

Hi AACon-
I created short code 555XXXX,Conference Meet Me,555N. I then transfer to 555$CP0 still with the same results. Works internally not externally. Any thoughts?

I did try your suggestion as well.

AACon-
I read your reply again. Are you saying that it is not possible to have a moderated conference bridge that you can access externally?
