Hi All,

We've got a BCM which we currently use and all our extensions are used.

When we look at the configuration there are a lot of extension numbers that look like their re-severed. However is it possible to use these and which dialled they would forward to a land line? For example, if we dialled 301 it would dial 90161 123 4567?

System details are:

Nortel Business Element Manager
Version 50.16.0.0 View README View License Agreement

Installed Cartridges: BCM 4.0 Element Manager Cartridge 0.0.29 (BCM200.4.09-0) Business Ethernet Switch 0.1.0 (JDM version:603b02_01 supports BES1xx/2xx and BES1xxx/2xxx devices)

Many thanks,

Rob

Not in that manner.

Use system speed dial.
Or use the routing options.

Many thanks for the reply, appreciate your prompt response.

BlueStuff - is there any links into how we would use the Speed Dials or use routing options?

Firebird - we do have some speed dials, how would we go about utilizing these to target a line out from the BCM

Also you might be able to tell from these questions that we're not experts with this system. It was purchase from BT and had a 1 hour crash course many years ago with it.

As mentioned I appreciate your help with any help with this.

Thanks,

Rob

Example

Add a route 301. fill in the external number without the predail digit 9.
Create a destination code 301. Select route 301, absorb length All.

When 301 is dialed 301 is stripped, and only the external number is send.

The numbers you use in the destination codes (301) should be unique in the system.
And can’t be a unused DN number.

BlueStuff - That's awesome, worked perfectly and appreciate your help!
