Does anybody know the extnsion for a dialer? i need to delete one off my desktop, but i do not know the extension for it.

Can you not just delete it from the desktop?

most of those programs can be removed from the add/remove programs in control panel.

Do you want to delete the dialer, or do you just want to delete the icon off your desktop?

Look closely at the icon. Does it have a little arrow in one corner? If so, the icon is just a shortcut. To delete the icon, just right-click on it and select "Delete" from the drop-down menu.

You may want to be careful about removing the dialer app altogether. Usually you create instances of the dialer to connect to a particular isp. To remove an instance, just double-click on the "My Computer" icon, then double-click on "Dial-Up Networking". This will open a folder showing all the instances of the dialer. Right-click on the instance you want to remove and select "Delete" from the drop-down menu.

If you remove the dialer app altogether, you will no longer be able to dial out to your isp. I would just leave it unless you have some specific reason for removing it; it doesn't take up much room.

I think all this is correct, I'm doing it from memory at work. If I've made any mistakes, someone else please jump in and correct me.
