Hey guys,

At my Office, when people quit or are fired, we like to Forward their DN and keep the Voicemail active for a few weeks.
However, when you disconnect the physical phone from the desk, you get the "Not In Service" error.

So the understanding with my Dept. is that for every DN there must be a physical phone plugged in.
Right now we have high-turnover, and placing phones all around the office just to forward to another line is getting ridiculous.

I was hoping someone out-there had a better solution.
Most of the phones are M7310's, and we're using a Call-Pilot server to manage voicemail.

Thanks!

Just assign the target lines of these users that have gone to a generic voice mailbox that will be tighed to an active set and you will get all the outside incomming traffic to this voicemail...

I dont think you are very clear on what you want to do or happen to the caller.
How does the call come in to the set? from Auto Attendant or DID?
Do you even have a PRI? what type of lines are they?
Have you called a tech in to consult and try anything on this?
