Extensions that mirror each other

I have a customer that has a Legend 7.0 system with Magix Msg for voice mail. They claim that at one time the system was set up so they had two extension 14's. I know...I know...! They have a guy that has two offices on two different floors. So when he is the downstairs office (Ext. 14) all is cool, but when he is the upstairs office (Ext. 56), he wants to be able to answer the phone when someone calls 14. So, I put a cover button on his phone. All was good. Then they called back and said that when he calls another system phone, it says Ext. 56 and they want it to say Ext. 14...so I tried to change the label, but now it says Ext. 14 Ext. 56. The rest of the story is they also want both phones to light up when someone leaves a voice mail at Ext. 14. They insist that this is how it worked at one time and they would like it to be that way again. Before I tell them that they are out of luck...I would like to get more input from the experts. Any thoughts?

OK, they might have used Shared System Access buttons to make the other phone appear to be Ext. 14. You can move the mandatory SA button for the other extension to button 6, then make buttons 1 through 3 SSA with the original extension, and set the ALS to use those buttons.

But there is NO way the MW light lit up for both extensions. Maybe they used Outcalling to dial the code to turn on the MW light for the 2nd extension, but they would have to manually turn it off.

I will have to study up on that...sounds a little deep to me, but I am always open to learning something new! I will look into it.
