I apologize I am an absolute noob. Our Admin quit, and she was the only one who new anything about the phones. The basics: we have four lines but 7 phones. Extensions 10-14 are set up perfect. Extension 16 and 17 light up when that phone is lifted up, but I cannot transer calls to those extensions. I only have one phone with a display on it.

What I need. I finally got Ext. 16 and 17 to light up when the receivers are lifted up. They can dial out as well. I cannot intercom with either of them, or transfer a call to them. Please help me remedy this situation. Thank you in advance.

I would first verify that you are working with the right extensions. Go to exten 16 and 17 and see if you can call another phone that has a display. See what the display says. it should show the extension calling.

When my customers say they can't transfer to an extension, they usually mean that the other phones don't have a button that Intercoms to that extension. If the new phones are the extension numbers that you think they are, at the other phones, press Feature 00, pres the button you want to program, press the left hand Intercom button, if you want voice announced calls press *, dial the extension number, then finish with Feature 00.

thanks i figured it out. I was hitting F00 the unused key, left intercom the extension number then F00. I found out that I needed an *before the extension number for it to work the way wanted it to. Thanks for the help.
