I have set up a Magix R4.0 system with extensions in the 100, 200, 300 and 400 range. All of a sudden no extension in the 100 range can be dialed directly from any phone or via the AA in Magix voice mail - however - those same extensions CAN be accessed via the employee directory (*2)in AA. Does anyone have an idea of what is going on?? Dialing a 100 series extension directly (for example "ext 113") while in the AA gives the error - your call cannot be transfered to extension "3". Trying other 100 series extensions gives the error "invalid entry" or your call cannot be transfered to extension "2" (when dialing ext 112. However, the same 100 series extensions CAN be accessed using the directory feature in Magix voicemail. All outside calles are set to be answered by AA1.

Selector Codes.

Somehow, Selector Code 1 has been set to something other than Direct Extension Dial, so it wont take a 1 as the first digit when dialing from the Auto Attendant. You should be able to dial *8 (transfer) and then the 100 series extensions. *2 matches the names, doesn't rely on you inputting the extension number.

Anyway, log into the system administrator's mailbox, 3 for auto attendant, 1 for aa no. 1, 1 for day or 2 for night, 6 to modify, 1 for selector code 1, 9 to modify, 5 for direct extension dial, *# when done, # to keep the prompt, **9 to disconnect.

TTT You were correct - they (the users) were mucking around in the system while re-recording the day greeting and changed "selector code 1" to "play announcement 1" vs "direct extension transfer" - which it had been originally set to. Problem solved!!
