Good Evening
Strange one.....have two extensions that are acting as if they are punched down on the same MICS port even though they are not. MICS R7 with Fiber Cartridge and one 0x16; one extension resides on the ksu and the other on SM4, the minute one of the extensions is plugged in the other extension begins to flash and eventually both stations become inoperable. At my wits end, have checked everything from the station cable, to cross connects, even replaced phones (knew that wouldn't help but was desperate :) ) Any direction greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Tom

Are they home runs to the ksu or out to a IDF ?If you tone cables do you get tone on both station cables?
If the above 2 are not the problem make sure autoset relocation is off then reboot ksu.

Pretty much retired from telecom and now grow and sell perennials from April-November and Ski from Nov-April

Plug one phone in and F*0 it to check DN AND port number. Then do the same for the other. That'll at least tell you which port is really being used.

Plus to eleminate the wiring take the phones to the system and connect them right to the ports.

one extension resides on the ksu and the other on SM4"

Did you try other ports?

Sounds like one cable is spliced with another in ceiling or other....stick toner in one jack and probe the other.
