hallo,

Im creating files within i write the results of my application in ascii format but i want they will have a special extension (my own extension) how can do it.

what is the problem? you can put any extensions you want. Ion Filipski

when you're creating the filename, just add a .(extension) to it. Its in double quotes, its treated like a string
 
you can use this

rename("PATH OF YOUR FILE", "THE NAME YOU WANT TO GIVE IT");
